Motorcycles

Motorcycles have always offered a way to get great performance at a low cost compared to your high performance sports cars.  It's difficult to describe the incredible feeling you get taking a motorcycle up and down twisty mountain roads.  On a perfect day it's almost like an out-of-body sensation.

Of course they have their down side too.  I've had 3 wrecks in the 18 years that I rode motorcycles and the last one made me decide to hang up my leathers for a while.  I wanted to replace the motorcycle with its nearest four wheel equivalent - a Lotus 7 kit car from either Birkin or Caterham.  But we ended up with a more practical solution the MR2 Spyder.

My current bike is under repair sold.  It's a 1992 Yamaha FZR 1000.  A real pleasure to ride.  I was hit on Hwy 17 and dropped the bike in four lanes of traffic at 60 MPH.  The bike suffered mostly bodywork damage, as I seemed to absorb the majority of the impact!

I need to update the links below with some more road racing information.
