Major Repairs Complete - May 2002

Back home with a lot of new parts and a fresh coat of paint

At Ronnie's Auto Body in Scotts Valley.  They did a fantastic job of repairing the car down to the last detail.

Crash Test - April 2002

I was involved in a 7 car wreck on Hwy 17 coming home from work.  I was the 6th car in line and had come to a complete stop within inches of an SUV when I got hit from behind by a big van and driven into the SUV.  You can see where the SUV's trailer hitch punched through my front bumper above.  Nobody was hurt but the MR2 will be in the shop for a while.

New Car - December 2000

Here's some quick pictures of our new car taken about a week after I picked it up at Fremont Toyota.  The MR-2 is a mid-engined convertible that weighs 2,200 lbs. and has about 140 hp.  The car is a blast to drive and I get many opportunities to test its handling on the local mountain roads.

Looks like the Lotus 7 Factory Five Cobra kit car project is on hold until Alex graduates college.
